Eyelid surgery produces an improvement in skin excess and wrinkles, and in fatty tissue and bags in upper and lower eyelids.
There are many different ways of doing this operation, and decisions are made after careful examination and discussion during the initial consultations.
Upper eyelid surgery can usually be done under local anaesthetic as an outpatient procedure, whereas surgery also involving the lower eyelids usually needs a general anaesthetic, but may be done as a day case.
Eyelid surgery is often combined with other facial cosmetic surgery.
